Overview
Johannesburg is the fast-beating heart of South Africa, and this five-day package is built to give you a proper feel for it without the planning headache. You arrive into OR Tambo International and are driven straight to your 4-star city hotel. Day two is a full sharing-basis city tour that covers the headline stops — Mandela House in Soweto, Constitution Hill, the city skyline from the top, and the markets that give Joburg its noise and colour. Day three is a half-day at the Lion Park, where you can get within metres of lions, giraffes, ostriches, and the famously curious white-lion cubs. Day four is reserved for the Gold Reef City theme park — running only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays — with rollercoasters, an underground gold-mine tour, and the museum at the entrance of what was once Crown Mines. Day five wraps up with a private transfer back to the airport in time for your onward flight. Daily breakfast, all transfers, and all listed sightseeing are included.

Arrive Johannesburg — Transfer to Hotel
Arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, where our representative meets you and transfers you privately to your 4-star Johannesburg hotel. Check-in (from 14:00) and the rest of the day at leisure to settle in after the flight.

Day 2
Full Day Johannesburg City Tour
After breakfast, join the full-day Johannesburg city tour on sharing basis. The route typically covers Soweto and Mandela House on Vilakazi Street, the Hector Pieterson Memorial, Constitution Hill, the bustling city centre, and a viewpoint over the skyline. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 3
Half Day Lion Park Visit
Breakfast and a relaxed morning at the hotel, then transfer for a half-day visit to the Lion Park on sharing basis. Drive through enclosures with lions, white lions, cheetahs, and wild dogs, and visit the gentler zones with giraffes, ostriches, and antelope. Afternoon free at the hotel.

A full day at Gold Reef City — the Joburg theme park built on the site of the historic Crown Mines. Rollercoasters, family rides, the underground gold-mine tour, and the museum at the entrance. Note: the tour operates only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays; if your travel dates fall mid-week, we will swap this day for an equivalent excursion.

All proposed accommodations are subject to availability at the time of confirmation; equivalent alternatives are arranged when needed.

Hotel check-in is typically 14:00 and check-out 12:00; early check-in / late check-out are subject to availability and may carry a fee.

A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers arriving from yellow-fever risk countries.
South Africa uses the South African Rand (ZAR); keep small denominations on hand for tips, market shopping, and short rides.
Power sockets are 230V Type M (three round pins); pack a universal adapter.
Tipping guidance: ZAR 20–50 for porters, 10–15% at restaurants, and ZAR 100–150 per day combined for driver and guide.
Policies
Booking & Payment: A 30% deposit is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to departure. Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment at the time of confirmation.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations 45+ days before departure: full refund minus booking fees. 30–44 days: 50% refund. 15–29 days: 25% refund. Less than 15 days: no refund. Some accommodations and activities may have stricter terms.
Child Policy: Children under 2 years travel as infants and are charged the infant rate. Children aged 2–11 sharing a room with two adults qualify for the child rate. Children 12 and above are charged as adults.
Travel Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and personal belongings is strongly recommended and is not included in the package price.
